Going from Only Fans to Medium

I enjoy writing and creating erotic and graphically sexual stories, which limits where I can post them.

Over a year ago, I started posting on Only Fans. To me it only made sense. I had been a fan of multiple creators for a number of years. We had been sexting and creating erotic, sexual fantasies, which was enjoyable. After enough creators said, “You should share and post these,” I finally got the courage to create a pen name and post my stories on OF.

My first ad on OF for my first book.

Like all platforms, you have to learn how to best navigate them. Only Fans is primarily designed for photos and videos, so creating written content was different. Monetizing the content was even harder.

I finally, after two months of trial and error, decided to just create and post. I have a mundane job which pays my bills so money wasn’t what drove me. If Fans enjoyed my stories, they could tip what they wanted. The next trick was to create enough content to post daily. I am a cis, hetro, male so at first all of my stories were either a tale based around a male and female couple, (something I refer to as “Couples’ Tales”), or they were the erotic fantasies from sexting sessions, fleshed out and more details given.

Some of you might think that the sexting sessions might be the more boring stories, but in reality, dealing with porn creators, the sexting fantasies had to be different. “You are in a photo session…” “You are the queen of a small kingdom…” “We are in a cabin during a snow storm…” etc. They had to be different because most of what they created and still create is “guy or girl hooks up with you…”

Within my first month of creating I started posting Surveys. “What type of stories…” “What types of characters…” “What settings…” etc. These surveys were helpful, because they told me what folks wanted to read. They also expanded my views on what makes a good “couples’ tale”. I started writing Male/Male and Female/Female stories from time to time. Not just “pick-up” stories, though those are popular too, but homosexual couple stories, where they are enjoying being with each other, and also having sex.

Another thing that makes OF tricky to write and post on, is there are “language blockers” to prevent certain terms from being used. Anything dealing with “prostitution” “young” “blood” or “meeting” was blocked. That forced me to be more creative with my language. Try writing a series of sexy vampire stories and not being able to use the word “blood”, or writing a story about a Nun working in a free clinic frequented by “prostitutes”. (Actually, if you follow my posts here, you will eventually read those stories)

My books available on Amazon.

I would probably still be posting there except my channel was deleted because of “Illegal Commercial Behavior”. After I had my first 25 stories, I compiled them into a book on Kindle Direct Press. I sold them on OF. The problem was I put links to Amazon which was a violation of TOS. I received a warning and my posts with links were deleted. For the next 12 months, I wrote a new story every week, re-posting older stories daily and increasing my fan base. When I had enough stories, I would compile a new book. I made 4 Volumes in total. Every time I had a new book, I posted the cover and would create a post without including link.

But over time, by chatting with my Fans (Direct Messages on OF is an extremely useful tool for any creator), they would ask for the links to the books. Most times the OF admin program didn’t notice a link here or a link there, but if I put out a Mass Message announcing special book offers, they would snag me, warn me, and delete the messages.

In August 2024, OF Admin had enough of my violations, and my channel was to be deleted. They gave me a month to finish things up, so I posted my last stories, and a few videos that fans requested, and then I let my channel expire. I kept DMing fans until the end. It was one of them who recommended that I move to Medium. Most of my OF fans recommended that I make a new channel on OF, but I decided against that.

I instead, looked for more platforms to post my erotic short stories and tales. Here is one place, Blogspot is another, and of course I still can compile stories to make a Fifth volume on KDP.

It will take time to rebuild my fan base, and here I have lots of competition. I like writing and creating, as do the folks I have met here. What I miss are the tools such as “Survey/Poll” and “Direct Message”.

Surveys allowed you to get direct feedback from your readers, who don’t want to leave comments. And DMs were great for directly finding what a reader wanted. I learned more about bisexual men, bisexual women, and lifestyles different from mine by actually chatting with folks who are part of them and want to read realistic stories. I also learned that my readers enjoyed “couples’ tales” because they could get “cuck” and cheating stories anywhere, but “loving couples enjoying sex” wasn’t the norm anymore so it was refreshing to read from time to time.

In the end, I am still learning about my new platforms, but I have lots of content, so If I take my time, post, edit, and create new, I will continue to have a creative outlet for my erotic stories and tales. Though it might take some time to stop missing “Surveys” and chatting with readers who have ideas about new stories. It is an interesting journey and I am curious to see where it continues.

I enjoy writing and posting these stories and poems. The erotic ones are all fantasies and my imagination. I hope you enjoy them too.
